Symposium 233: Experimental Hepatology Days

Dear colleagues,
We welcome you to the new format of the Falk Experimental Hepatology
Days. In the tradition of the Basel Liver Days, it is our goal to bring
together leading experts from all around the world, who are focused on
different aspects of basic and translational hepatobiliary research. In
recent years, we have made tremendous progress in the understanding
of molecular, immunological and metabolic mechanisms of liver diseases
and carcinogenesis with a high potential for translation into clinical
practice. The Falk Experimental Hepatology Days comprise two interlinked
parts. Part A will focus on hepatic injury, inflammation and immunology,
while part B will be about regeneration, fibrosis and carcinogenesis. We
expect lively and stimulating discussions in the panel discussion, but also
the poster pitch sessions.
We are confident that the Falk Experimental Hepatology Days will
provide a unique format to discuss and address relevant open questions
in the field and bring together leading experts from all around the world.
We specifically encourage young researchers and clinician scientists to
participate in this new format and present their ongoing research projects.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you in Zurich.
