Poster Abstracts: Supporting Early-Career Researchers
Ever since the Falk Foundation was founded in 1978, promoting young scientists has been at the heart of its mission – a focus deeply rooted in the vision of Dr. Dr. Herbert Falk. This is why the Falk Foundation invites young researchers to submit poster abstracts and present their work at symposia and workshops.
Benefits and Awards
- The Falk Foundation covers the registration fee and hotel costs for young researchers whose abstracts have been accepted, but not their travel expenses.
- Poster prize winners receive up to EUR 3,000 per person as well as a reimbursement for their travel expenses.
- The selection of abstracts is carried out exclusively by the scientific committee, which operates independently of the Falk Foundation.
- At the respective workshop or symposium, the poster prize winners give a brief presentation of their research.
Scientific Exchange
The Falk Foundation organizes four to six symposia and workshops per year, with poster presentations being an integral part of the program. These events provide a platform for gastroenterologists and hepatologists to meet and exchange with one another. At the same time, they give young researchers the opportunity to present their findings to an international audience and to build valuable networks.
