Cecal carcinoma 2 – Example
The mother of this 45-year-old female patient died from colon carcinoma. As a result, the patient was referred for colonoscopy, although she denied any complaints.
The videoclip shows a tumor opposite Bauhin’s valve. The tumor does not affect the functioning of the valve and there are copious amounts of bowel contents passing into the cecum.
Cecal carcinomas may remain asymptomatic as long as Bauhin’s valve is not implicated in the growth of the tumor.
